Watching TV shows is often deemed as a great way to destress and just generally contemplate about the ongoings of life. To recommend binge worthy shows to other Morris Hills High School students, we coordinated a survey to show MH students would recommend other students to watch.
Matthew Rendon Sellan, in the 12th Grade, who is an upcoming Neuroscience major, stated that he’s into a bit of everything in terms of shows. But if he had to choose, it would probably be Stranger Things.
“It’s a little stereotypical but I think it’s a pretty good show. The whole starting idea was very interesting, how everything kind of fell into place with every mystery, and how each plot twist was relevant until the last bit. However, I didn’t really like the ending because I was craving for more, you know, I wanted more.” Sellan says.
Junior Arjun Pandey also enjoys watching shows. His favorite show is an anime, entitled One Piece.
“Since it has the most number of episodes, I think by definition, it is also the most bingeworthy. It’s also, like, an interesting story. So yeah. Very bingeworthy.” Pandey states.
Another junior, Arghya Rath, believes that a bingeworthy show is the Star Wars: Clone Wars.
“I think that Star Wars: Clone Wars is pretty good because it’s–I know that there aren’t many new episodes, but it is still very important to the lore and story of Star Wars. A lot of important events occur. And I really like Star Wars in general, so yeah.” Rath exclaims.
Junior Wonyul Choi also has a lot of favorite shows, but he feels like “the first one that comes to mind is probably My Demon, and it’s like a K Drama and it’s pretty cool. There are supernatural events in it.”
Anika Yadiki, a sophomore, likes anything that falls under the mystery genre.
“I really like Enola Holmes, both movies, and for shows there is a short, mystery series on Netflix called The Seven Dials which I think is pretty good. It’s based on an Agatha Christie book. I really enjoy mysteries, and both of them are very gripping. Enola Holmes involves a lot of humor, which is why I like it. She’s a very comical character.” Yadiki explains.
Rory Jensen would recommend the bingeworthy show of The Walking Dead. “It highlights what humanity would do to survive in dire circumstances without structure or law.” Jensen adds.
On the other side of the spectrum, Freshman Vindhya Sri Kolluri would recommend the bingeworthy show of “Gilmore Girls because it gives a comforting feeling and makes me feel like I’m actually a part of the Stars Hollow community.”
At the MH community, we value a diverse range of voices to state their opinions whenever they can on our platform.
