Kevin Chen Named NJ Governor’s STEM Scholar
A huge congratulations to Kevin Chen for being selected as one of New Jersey Governor’s STEM Scholar for the 2022-2023 school year. Kevin currently works in a lab at the Stevens Institute of Technology, conducting research on how to use virtual reality for cognitive and motor rehabilitation. He had to go through a strenuous process for this award, writing an essay and creating a video explaining how he would make an impact on the world through STEM-related activities. Kevin is a two time AIME Qualifier (the American Invitational Mathematics Examination), has won a National debate award, is part of the Columbia University Science Honors Program, and is a Rensselaer Medal Award recipient. He is the Math Club president and is part of a Debate Club and DECA, of which he qualified for ICDC. Kevin would like to pursue a career in biomedical engineering or computer science. Once again, congratulations to Kevin Chen for such an honorable achievement.
