Boys Cross Country
The Morris Hills Boys Cross Country team once again delivered an amazing 2023 Fall campaign. With amazing performances throughout the season, the team finished their Conference Dual Meet Season undefeated, earning the title of NJAC National Division Champions. Though the team will miss the leadership of seniors Shaun Andreazza, Charles Champagne, Shane Corcoran, Ishan Gajjar, Aidan Johnson, Nisval Patel, Lino Piazzi, Stephen Vadillo, and Garvin Varneckas, they hope to put forth another impressive campaign next season under Coach Mein.
Girls Cross Country
The Morris Girls Cross Country Team put together an amazing 2023 Fall campaign, doing well in many meets and placing an amazing second overall in the North 1 Group 3 Sectional. Additionally, junior Ivory Piskula placed first in the North 1 Group 3 Sectional and was crowned champion, the first in school history. For this great season the team thanks seniors Emmanuella Jules, Vanessa Li, and Caitlin Willer. However, the team also hopes to continue this impressive campaign into next season under Coach Digennaro.
Football
The Morris Hills Football team finished the season 1-8. Throughout the season, the team showed a competitive spirit and improved significantly from last season, evident in competitive games against Jefferson and a 42-20 victory against Ridgefield Park, marking the team’s first win under Coach Campbell. Though the team will miss seniors Cole Piazza, Santiago Quiceno, Brady Gaeb, Shane Davison, Jack Dooley, Marcus Libert, Sebastian Aguado Rojas, Derekson Alache, Jaydin Barreto, Jeffrey Cadavid, Sam Heath, and Matthew McGovern, the team hopes to continue their rebuild under Coach Campbell.
Boys Soccer
The Morris Hills Boys Soccer team put together a solid 2023 Fall season with a record of 10-8-2. The team showed competitiveness and a culture of success throughout the season. This was best shown in their 5-game win streak to begin the season. For a great season, the team thanks seniors Tyrese Brown, Yonatan Figueroa, Anthony Garcia, Daniel Matamala, Jayden Roldan, Christian Trujillo, Sean Singh, and Killian Yombor. Still, the team hopes to put together another successful season next year under Coach Dul.
Girls Soccer
During the Fall 2023 season, the Morris Hills Girls Soccer team finished their season with a record of 3-12-1. However, the season was filled with signs of promise, as the team is still very young and there is room for improvement. Though the team will sincerely miss leaders Madelyn Epstein, Sloan Epstein, Nikkole Guillen, Sydney Mulrooney, Kiera Simone, and Gianna Campi, the team hopes to put forth a better season and continue their rebuilding process next year under Coach Stauss.
Field Hockey
The Morris Hills Field Hockey Team continued their rebuild this season, where they finished with a record of 2-15. Throughout the season, the team showed promise and potential with seniors Kaylee Amicucci, Alexandra Avila, Gabriella Boles, Lizeth Isaza, Sydney Mendola, Anna Seligmuller, Grace Seligmuller, Grace Siersma, and Jessica Sundel leading the way. They also garnered impressive wins over Roxbury and North Warren. The team hopes to spur into contention next season under Coach Tepper.
Girls Volleyball
The Morris Hills Girls Volleyball team put together a solid season, finishing with a record of 6-18. The team will miss many of the seniors, such as Nayeli Alvarez, Evette Colon, Julian Dattolo, Stephanie Haessig, Lexie Haigh, Riley McDonald, Erin Murcer, Kimberely Relyea, and Megan VanHouten, who made up much of their core this season. Despite this, the team hopes to face this challenge and put together another solid season under Coach Hobson.
Girls Tennis
The Morris Hills Girls Tennis Team displayed a great season, where they finished with a record of 7-9. Throughout the season, the team had impressive victories against opponents such as Nutley, Kinnelon, and Randolph. The team thanks seniors Kishore Angille, Megan Graham, Sarah Klose, Synthia Mani, Sarai Perez, and Kairie Senzer, the team hopes to continue this stellar exhibit of tennis next season under Coach Barger.
Cheerleading
The Fall Morris Hills Cheerleading squad had an amazing season putting forth numerous spectacular performances and embodying the spirit of Morris Hills and the Scarlet Knights. The squad hopes to continue putting forth amazing performances under Coach Pratt in the winter as well.
Congratulations to Sam Heath who received the Steve DiGregorio Young Man of the Year award. This award is presented to one individual from each member school who demonstrates a selfless commitment to his community, his school, his teammates and peers.
