Congratulations to Mrs. Piccinini for being named the 2023-2024 Support Staff of the Year! Mrs. Piccinini has been a member of the Morris Hills community since 2010. As principal secretary, she is responsible for the paperwork and information regarding student and staff acknowledgements—for example, the Student of the Month award—as well as disciplinary issues.
“What makes it extremely easy to come here on a day-to-day basis is the people,” Mrs. Piccinini stated in an interview. She is thankful for her coworkers on the Morris Hills administrative team for making the school “a great place to be.” Overall, she is “just proud to be part of this [Morris Hills’] team.”
Before coming to Morris Hills, Mrs. Piccinini was a financial analyst at the CIT Group, a financial services company located in Livingston. She had worked her way up the company after deciding not to attend college. Mrs. Piccinini also worked at an elementary school for 8 years before joining the Morris Hills Community.
Mrs. Piccinini is a mother to three adult children, who are a school psychologist, a school social worker, and a lawyer. She is expecting her first grandchild in May, and hopes to help raise them when she plans to retire in 3 years.
In an interesting twist, Mrs. Piccinini was responsible for the preparation of the Support Staff of the Year award, but had no idea she won! Dr. Toriello gave Mrs. Piccinini a different name when preparing the accolades, so the award came “as a complete surprise” to her.
Once again, the Hilltopper congratulates Mrs. Piccinini on her achievement!
