Morris Hills welcomes all students and staff to enter its 2024 Political Caricature-Cartoon Contest!
To enter, create your political caricature cartoon as a drawing, painting, or mixed media piece, and submit your entries to art teachers or HOPE Club advisors Mrs. Paulson and Mr. Adams.
Entries will be judged on the creativity, humor, quality of work, and accuracy of the political message. Artwork with offensive or derogatory themes will be rejected.
The contest will accept entries between May 13 and June 7. The winner (along with two runner-ups) will be announced at the end of the school year. Their artwork will be printed on the theatre programs, featured on the Morris Hills social media during the next school year, and displayed on the poster for voter registration drives in September.
The contest is a part of the “HOPE for Democracy – HOPE for Ukraine” project, created by the HOPE club and Social Studies Honor Society. The project’s goal is to encourage eligible Morris Hills students to register to vote next fall.
Morris Hills administration, art teachers, and HOPE Club and Social Studies Honor Society supervising teachers and members will judge the contest.
We look forward to seeing the amazing artwork you create! If you have any questions, contact Linda, Mrs. Paulson, or Mr. Adams.
