On Wednesday, Nov. 13, basketball players from all grades practiced on the court as a crowd gathered to support their friends at the Freshman 3v3 Basketball Tournament. The event kicked off with all teams giving their best efforts to determine the winners and losers in the initial rounds. As the evening wore on, players began to feel fatigued, and the intensity of the games increased as the teams fought hard to advance.
Before long, only a few teams remained. Mr. Giovine, who organized the event, and Coach Wannamaker took to the court, playing alongside the students and adding an extra layer of rivalry to the competition. Ultimately, it came down to the final two teams: the “Indian Hoop Group,” composed of Eshaan Bhansali, Pranav Munigala, and Raj Shah, versus AJ Piombino’s competitive team, “Blended by AJ.” The final round was highly competitive and resulted in a well-deserved victory for the “Indian Hoop Group.”
Congratulations to the winners, and a heartfelt thank you to all participants! A special acknowledgment goes to Mr. Melvin and the staff members who helped make this event a resounding success. Many participants, including Luke Tinney and Keion Andrews, shared their enjoyment of playing and competing with friends.
