This year’s Battle of the Classes was anything but ordinary—it was full of laughs, surprises, and major school spirit! Spirit week began on Monday, April 7 kicked off with a blast of creativity featuring Mismatch Monday, Holiday Tuesday, Superheroes vs. Villains Wednesday, Disney Thursday, and Class Color Friday.
The first big event? A high-energy Lip Sync Battle video, where the Sophomores stole the show—and a whopping 200 points––to start the competition strong!
Every day, points were tallied based on theme participation, and as the week went on, the sophomores kept the pressure on, rocking their outfits and repping their grade with pride. Meanwhile, events like the canned food drive gave students more chances to rack up points for their class.
By Thursday afternoon, the sophomores were still in the lead, with the junior class hot on their heels. But then, something unexpected happened.
The seniors showed up. Quiet most of the week, they made a dramatic comeback during Thursday night’s Hall Decorating Contest. While their decorating team consisted of only senior girls, they showed up and brought the energy—and about 50 balloons.
With a red-themed hallway focused on “Chapters of High School,” they showcased memories from each year, clever superlatives, and college plans, all wrapped in a nostalgic and creative vibe. Thanks to their vision (shoutout to senior Kelly Zeman for the idea), the senior girls won the Hallway Contest and gave their class a much-needed boost.
Then came Friday, April 11: Class Color Day! The freshmen and seniors tied for dressing up, with 100 students each repping their class colors. Normally, the final showdown would be outdoors, but the rain had other plans. Instead, students packed into the small gym for fun mini-games like cornhole, pull-ups, cereal transfer, and more.
The competition was fierce, the laughs were loud, and the spirit was off the charts. In the end, the sophomores snagged the win with 396 points, followed by the juniors with 345.
Sure, this year’s Battle of the Classes looked a little different, but it was unforgettable, full of heart, hustle, and a whole lot of fun.
