HOPE CLUB educates about Teal Pumpkin Project
November 18, 2016
On Wednesday, October 26th, HOPE Club hosted the first annual Teal Pumpkin Bash. The purpose of the fun event was to raise awareness about food allergies on Halloween in hopes that all children might enjoy the festivities of the holiday without the risk of an allergic reaction. The HOPE Club chose to run a creative Minute-to-Win-It style game to spread Halloween spirit and to educate Morris Hills students about the Teal Pumpkin Project. Attendees of the Teal Pumpkin Bash 2016 painted pumpkins teal; those teal pumpkins, when placed outside someone’s door, indicate that there are non-food treats for kids with life threatening allergies offered there.
