MEMORIES
I am a member of the first graduating class at Morris hills High School (1954). I was the founding and first Editor-in-Chief of the HILLTOPPER, suggested the school newspaper’s name. The first year presented a difficult transition – we were all transfer students from different high schools: Boonton, Dover, Rockaway…I may well be amongst the extant alumni of that year. We had a reunion in 2004 (I think), 50 years of MHRHS. No one from the MH Administration even came to greet the first graduating class. There were photos in local news.
Please let me know the name and contact information for the current HILLTOPPER editor-in-chief; also the faculty advisor. If you do not have a archived copy of the 1954 yearbook, I will send you mine. As the youngest student of my graduating class, I am pleased to have been associated with MHRHS. Super GREAT and caring faculty in a turbulent “first year” of MH.
