Mrs. Bohmer is a beloved staff member of Morris Hills. Each morning, she greets students with a warm welcome and truly puts a smile on everyone’s face.

More famously, you can always find her laughing, sharing jokes, and chatting with students during the lunch blocks. Mrs. B is always kind and cares deeply about the students she encounters each and every day.

Mrs. Bohmer was recognized as this year’s Outstanding Support Staff Member, and the Morris Hills community wishes her a heartfelt congratulations.

Mrs. B had always wanted to be a teacher and was a substitute teacher for 10 years. Then, she became one of the security members, with this past February marking 17 years on the job. Now, she loves this job, as she not only gets to interact with a classroom full of students, but instead, she also gets to connect with all students.

Having worked at Morris Hills for decades, she loves the students and staff and wouldn’t go anywhere else. “This is home,” she said.

To those who know her, it isn’t surprising that she won “Outstanding Support Staff Member,” as her benevolence and character truly deserve this. However, Mrs. Bohmer didn’t expect this honor at all!

When she heard her name on the announcements, she was in total shock. She said the moment was so special it brought her to tears. “The last time I was that surprised, I found out I was going on a cruise!” she said.

With great joy and honor, she received her award accompanied by a beautiful plant, a gift card, and – her favorite – a Morris Hills pin. Her pin is something she wears every day with great pride.
