Every school has its unsung heroes that are those who quietly make the day run smoother and the halls brighter. Morris Hills is blessed to have Mr. Gustavo Suarez as our unsung hero, and he has been recognized as Support Staff Member of the Year.
Beloved by students and staff alike, Mr. Suarez goes above and beyond every day. From keeping the school spotless to greeting students with a warm smile, he has become a fixture of positivity and care in the school community. “Morris Hills is the favorite part of my job,” he says. “I treat Morris Hills as if it is my first home. I appreciate the love I feel from the students and staff.”

Colleagues praise Mr. Suarez for the way he connects with students, always taking the time to listen, encourage, and brighten someone’s day. Students often stop by just to say hello, a testament to the relationships he has built over the years. When asked if he has had a memorable moment with the students, he had too many to choose from. “Every day is memorable for me,” Mr. Suarez told the Hilltopper. “My interactions with administrators and students every day are very important to me.”
Being recognized as Support Staff Member of the Year is a fitting acknowledgement of Mr. Suarez’s dedication, kindness, and unwavering commitment to the school community. “This honor means a lot to me because it symbolizes the appreciation everyone has for me being a good and responsible worker,” he says. “I always make sure that I go the extra mile to make sure everything is clean and ready, and this honor shows the appreciation for my hard work.”
The Hilltopper congratulates Mr. Suarez on this wonderful accomplishment!
