Cheer
Under the leadership of Head Coach Sara Pratt, the cheer team delivered an energetic and spirited season, providing vital support for all athletic events. Their routines not only motivated the crowd but also boosted team morale across the school’s sports teams. With every performance, the squad showcased their precision, athleticism, and school pride, making them an essential part of Morris Hills’ fall season. Their dedication to perfecting each routine was evident both at games and competitions, highlighting the team’s teamwork and commitment.

Boys Cross Country
Head Coach Tim Mein guided the boys’ cross country team through a successful season, marked by impressive finishes in regional competitions. The team placed 5th at the NJAC Championships, 3rd in the County Championships, and secured 2nd place in the Sectional Championship. Standout athletes Nick Falcone, Nolan Ribeiro, and Luke O’Callaghan led the team with consistent, strong performances. Throughout the season, the team demonstrated resilience and determination, pushing each other to reach personal bests while contributing to the overall team success.
Girls Cross Country
The girls’ cross country team, coached by Mark DiGennaro, had a season of growth and competitive spirit. They finished 6th at the NJAC Championships, 10th in the County Championships, and 7th in the Sectional Championship. Team leaders Maya Pocina, Maddie Cromwell, and Anina Mullan not only set the pace in races but also served as mentors for newer runners, fostering a supportive and determined team environment. Coach DiGennaro’s dedication to helping student-athletes succeed both on and off the track was recognized this season with the prestigious NJSIAA & NJ4S Morris & Sussex Community Coach of the Season award.

Boys Soccer
Head Coach Jeffrey Jimenez led the boys soccer team to a strong 12-8 overall record, with an 8-4 record in NJAC – National competition. The team showcased a strong offense and resilient defense, led by standout players Leonardo Belloni Jr., who scored 21 goals and contributed 7 assists for a total of 49 points, Juan Foronda with 10 goals and 7 assists, and goalkeeper Jayden Medina Solano, who recorded 113 saves in 17 games. Their performances demonstrated skill, teamwork, and leadership, making the team a formidable presence in the conference and a source of pride for the school.

Football
The football team, under the direction of Head Coach Bruce Campbell, faced a challenging season with a 2-8 overall record and 0-5 in SFC – Liberty Blue play. Despite the tough schedule, several standout performances highlighted the potential of the team’s young roster. Sophomore Tyler Pfarrer led the offense with 678 passing yards, Robert Studer contributed 298 receiving yards, and Emilio Morgro rushed for 525 yards. Coach Campbell emphasized growth and learning throughout the season, with a focus on preparing the team for future success.

Field Hockey
Head Coach Annie Mulligan guided the field hockey team through a transitional season, finishing with a 4-2-8 record. With many first-year players and a recent shift to a JV-only program, the team focused on building skills, teamwork, and confidence on the field. Each game provided valuable experience for developing players, and the squad demonstrated perseverance and improvement as the season progressed, setting a strong foundation for future seasons.

Girls Tennis
The girls’ tennis team, coached by Meaghan Barger, finished the season with an 8-9 overall record, including a 4-6 mark in NJAC-American competition. The squad’s highlight was advancing to the semifinals of the NJSIAA Team Tournament, showcasing their determination and skill against some of the region’s toughest opponents. Coach Barger’s guidance, paired with the team’s commitment to improvement, made this season a competitive and memorable one.

Girls Soccer
Under the leadership of Head Coach Keith Dul, the girls’ soccer team faced a challenging season, finishing with a 4-14 record and 1-11 in NJAC-National play. Seniors and sophomores alike worked hard to develop skills and team chemistry, with senior Nicole Rivera and sophomore Emily Jennings leading the team with five goals each. Despite the hurdles, the players showed determination and resilience, gaining valuable experience that will serve them well in future seasons.

Girls Volleyball
Head Coach Christina Hobson led the girls volleyball team to an impressive 21-7 overall record and a 7-5 mark in NJAC – National competition. The team thrived thanks to the efforts of standout players Melanie Garnica (200 kills), Anita Bortolamasi (285 assists & 67 aces), and Caitlin Keating (305 digs), who demonstrated exceptional talent and leadership. With consistent teamwork, strong communication on the court, and relentless drive, the squad made this one of the most successful seasons in recent years, solidifying their reputation as one of the top programs in the league.

Marching Band
Director Richard Hartsuiker and Assistant Director Stephen Spotts led the marching band through a season of remarkable achievements. At the Ludwig Musser Classic at MetLife Stadium,
the band performed its intricate show at 2:58 p.m., earning third place in the 4A category. Their success continued at the State Championships on November 1st at Robbinsville High School, where they finished second in their category. The band’s dedication, precision, and artistry were evident throughout the season, bringing pride to the Morris Hills community.
