The 2013 Varsity Fall Cheer Squad kicked off its season with an outstanding showing at UCA Cheer Camp at Chestnut Lake in Beach Lake, PA. In addition to earning honors for their cheer and dance routine, the team won first place for their sideline execution and crowd leading skills. At home, the Varsity team worked to wow the crowd even more by incorporating more stunts into their sideline performances. Throughout the season, the team mastered many elite stunts, executing a variety of body positions in single-legged stunts. The team also accomplished flipping dismounts and pyramid transitions. Off the track, the entire MH Cheer program worked on its philanthropic efforts. They volunteered at the annual St. Clare’s Breast Cancer Walk at the Rockaway Mall, cheering on the participants. In November, they hosted the annual Powder Puff Game with proceeds going to the Cure Breast Cancer Foundation. This year’s game fundraised $930 for the cause.
